John was also a high level intelligence operative for the U.S. government in the 1940's-50's. he also was the Southern Illinois University Athletic Manager. The family wanted the contents of his home to sell at auction to the highest bidder. Many interesting antiques as well as well modern household goods, tools, and hardware.
