September Fine Asian Art & Antiques 2021, Session 2

Oakridge is excited to announce its latest auction: a Fine Asian Art & Antiques sale packed with an array of impressive lots of Asian art from throughout history. Scheduled for September 18-20, 2021, this auction will feature over 600 lots separated into three sessions: Session 1 - Ceramics and Works of Art beginning at 9 am EDT on September 18th, Session 2 - Paintings and Calligraphy beginning at 10 am EDT on September 19th, and Sessions 3 - Snuff Bottles beginning at 10 am EDT on September 20th.With nearly 200 lots, Session 2 is comprised of a curated selection of Chinese calligraphies and paintings, including those by masters of the modern era.The highlight is none other than Lot 456, a magnificent landscape painting by one of the most successful artists of the last hundred years, Zhang Daqian. Other important lots include another landscape painting by Zhang Daqian dated to 1967, a painting of chicks by Qi Baishi, and a painting of a horse by Ma Jin.Bidding is available online via Invaluable, LiveAuctioneers, HiBid, 51BidLive, or Artfox Live; by telephone; and by absentee bidding.
