Roadside America: Are We There Yet?

700+ Lots, items will be added until the catalog is complete. Are we there yet? That's the question so many children asked for seventy plus years in route to Roadside America until 2020, when the World's Greatest Miniature Village closed its doors for the last time. Since that time, we have conducted five auctions consisting of items from the Roadside America inventory. When the assignment began, I promised Dolores Heinsohn and the Heinsohn family that I would not retire until we completed their divestiture. Are we there yet is the question I have asked more than once since then. The answer is an echo of every parents response to that relentless question posed so often over the years: "Not quite, but we'll be there soon." On Sunday, September 29th, we will hold the sixth, and next-to-the-last auction in the Roadside America series. The event features Laurence Geiringer handmade items; the collection of Native American artifacts on display in the main venue; Lionel O gauge locomotives, tenders and train cars; vintage parts including trucks, wheels, shells, control boards and hardware from the Roadside America maintenance shop; auto dealer promotional vehicles; layout accessories; Roadside America gift shop items, vintage ephemera and miscellaneous inventory associated with the iconic miniature village. We're nearing the end of our assignment to disperse the inventory of Roadside America into the hands of a family that spans the globe. We can see the end of the road from here.
