March 2022 Fine Asian Arts & Antiques, Session 1

Oakridge Auction Gallery is excited to announce its first large auction of the year: its yearly Spring Fine Asian Art & Antiques sale packed with an array of exciting lots of Chinese art. Scheduled for March 16-19, 2022, this auction will feature nearly 1000 lots separated into four sessions: Session 1 - Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art I beginning at 9 am EDT on March 16, Session 2 - Chinese Ceramics and Works of Art II beginning at 9 am EDT on March 17,Session 3 - Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy beginning at 9 am EDT on March 18, andSession 4 - Chinese Snuff Bottles beginning at 9 am EDT on March 19.Session 1: Boasting over 200 lots, Session 1 is packed with masterful Chinese jades and ceramics from throughout Chinese history. There are beautiful carvings in all shapes, sizes, and types of jade and unique porcelains including rare imperial pieces.The highlight of the session is Lot 146, a magnificent gilt porcelain vase with famille rose framed scenes and coated in Ji Lan Sacrificial Blue glaze. Other lots in this session include a remarkable iron red underglazed porcelain moonflask dating from the 18th century, an 18th to 19th century white jade table screen carved on both sides, and six-panel hardwood screen with numerous porcelain plaques by famous painters of the Republic period.Bidding is available online, by telephone, and by absentee bidding.
