Jenkins. At an early age George started taking things apart to see how they worked. He began working at a garage during the summer when he was just 15 years old. He began working for Shadetree Automotive, while attending the University of Delaware and purchased the business in 1987. In 1996 he had the shop built in its current location. Initially he specialized in imports, but eventually worked on anything that had an engine. He collected old cameras, clocks, and watches, just so he could fix them. He was an avid reader and enjoyed traveling especially to Australia to visit family. Over his 35 years in business, he was fortunate to make numerous friends, both colleagues and customers. He prided himself on fixing what others couldn't. He truly loved working on cars and said if he ever won the lottery he wouldn't quit working, he would just fix people's cars for free.
