Online Only Auction - Ends Wed August 31st with first lot closing at 7PM. This is the very unique collection of a single consignor. From a retired faculty member of the Folklore Department at IU, this auction features his lifelong collection of fraternal voting boxes, along with a collection of 1000's of mid-century wine and liquor labels from all over the world. These unique boxes represent many different styles and types of black ball voting boxes. Used by fraternal organizations for voting on membership and other issues, these boxes are all unique and each one is a hand made example. Truly a form of folk art. Many include the original marbles or tokens used to vote, with unique styles and designs, made from wood and other materials. Preview is by appointment only. Pickup/Checkout is Friday Sept 2nd.
