Private Collector Autograph and Memorbilia Auction Event

These items are from the personal collection of someone who has been collecting autographs for over 50 years, since long before COAs. Many of the autographs, were obtained in person, in Houston, TX, where the collector lived for many years.The collector is a former member of the UACC "Universal Autograph Collectors Club". If buying autographs, they were only bought from reputable dealers, primarily UACC registered dealers. Autographs were also compared to known legitimate scanned images on the Internet and in the Sanders Price Guide.Since some "autographs" can be good prints, the collector studied them with a handheld microscope to verify an ink signature versus a printed signature. In addition, autographs were reviewed to look for signs of an autopen.In "the old days" people would respond quite well with autographs through the mail. The collector always sent a card and a picture to sign and compared the two when the signed versions were received.Certificates of Authenticity (COAs) are available for a few of the autographs and are shown in the pictures of the items.
