ERIE COUNTY 4-H LIVESTOCK AUCTION Internet Bidding OnlyThank you for your continued support to the Erie County 4-H Livestock program, through your participation in our annual Market Animal Auction. This year has had many challenges and with the postponement of the 2020 Erie County Fair, we are excited to offer our 2020 Market Animal Sale through an online auction supported by Bontrager Auction. Our youth have been extremely busy over the past months raising top quality meat animal projects and learning.DATES:Auction Starts: Friday, August 7th at 9 a.m.Auction Ends: Friday, August 14th at 5 p.m. (Two lots will close every minute.)PAYMENT:Credit cards can be billed immediately (3% fee will be added to your bill to cover the cost of processing your card), or you can let Erie County 4-H know that you would like to pay with check or cash later. BIDDER INFORMATION: -All animals will be sold by the head. Since our members will not be bringing their animals to a central location to be weighed, our members will supply an estimated weight for the auction.-Meat Chickens, Turkeys and Meat Rabbits will be processed at HLW Acres. A $12.00 per lot fee will be added to accommodate processing and cooler for delivery. Chickens are packaged individually and paired in lots of two, turkeys are packaged individually as well as rabbits. All products will be available for pick up in Styrofoam coolers at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Erie County, 21 S. Grove Street, East Aurora, NY 14052 on Wednesday, August 19 from 6-8:00 p.m. Any product not claimed on August 19 by 8:00 p.m. will be donated to Feed More.-Buyer is responsible for paying full price of the sale. Accepted forms of payment are credit card through Bontrager Auction with a 3% convenience fee. Businesses that we have billed in the past may contact Tammi Kron at tlk6@cornell.edu to plan for 2020.-At the conclusion of the sale, staff will contact each buyer to select the processor of your choice. It is the buyers responsibility to contact the processor on Monday, August 17 to make arrangements for cutting. Buyer is responsible for paying all slaughtering and processing fees.-Animals become the property of the buyer at the time of the sale, but will remain in the care of the 4-H member until processing. 4-H families will provide trucking to a cooperating processing facility. Buyers that wish to take an animal home or choose another processing facility are responsible for trucking and must pick up animal in a timely manner.
