Crittenden lived here from 1819-1863. He was 15th Governor, Legislator, Attorney General under three Presidents, Five time U S Senator. His famous works were the Crittenden Compromise, 1860 futile effort to avert Civil War and preserve the Union. Dr. Baughman, well known Frankfort Doctor and surgeon, bought this house in 1937 and has been in the family almost 90 years.
